Womens Poker

Postby chikakhy » Tue Jun 08, 2010 7:17 am

When playing poker do you change your style when you are playing against a woman? Do you take female poker players seriously online and at live games? I ask that question because a woman just won the European Poker Tour at Dortmund. While watching the final table I noticed the guys try to gang up on her. For example when she would make a decent raise someone would always try to push her all-in.

I think it is a terrible mistake to play a woman any differently than you would a man. Gender has nothing to do with the ability to be a good poker player. Duke, Liebert, Isaac's, Harmon and so many others have proven this trough the years.

Never played a live game of poker with a woman but there are a lot of online female players, some good, some not so good.

Earl is right - play them on the basis of their game - or you might land up broke!

I concur, gender should not enter the equation when playing live or online.
